The 5th Annual European Symposium on Algorithms (ESA '97) will be held in Graz, Austria, shortly after this workshop, on September 15-17, 1997. Graz is very close to Venice (couple of hours by airplane, and a bit over seven hours by train), and it will be possible to attend both conferences with a unique trip. The 5th Symposium on Graph Drawing (GD '97) will be held in Rome , Italy, on September 18-20, 1997. It takes one hour by flight or a bit more than four hours by train to get from Venice to Rome, and you can check the Italian train schedule online .
The ALCOM-IT School on Distributed Computing and Systems (SODICS) will be held at MPI Saarbruecken, Germany, on September 21-23, 1997.
