The EuroPVM/MPI 2003 conference will deal with various aspects of High-Performance Computing (HPC) and their application. The scope of the conference has been extended to specifically include Cluster and Grid Computing. This is the 10th EuroPVM/MPI meeting of the series, previous ones being held at: Linz - Austria (2002), Santorin - Greece (2001), Balatonfuered - Hungary (2000), Barcelona - Spain (1999), Liverpool - UK (1998), Krakow - Poland (1997), Munich - Germany (1996), Lyon - France (1995), Rome - Italy (1994)- The EuroPVM/MPI 2003 will be held in Venice (Italy), and will be jointly organized by the Ca' Foscari University of Venice (Italy), and the Information Science and Technologies Institute - National Research Council (ISTI - CNR) of Pisa (Italy). The proceedings will be published by Springer-Verlag in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science series. Topics ------ Topics include, but are not limited to, the following areas: - Parallel algorithms using the message-passing paradigm - Parallel applications in science and engineering - Parallel data mining applications - Latest extensions and improvements to PVM and MPI - PVM/MPI in Clusters and Grids - Tools for PVM and MPI - Performance evaluation of PVM and MPI - PVM and MPI implementation issues - Novel message-passing paradigms for Grids and P2P Venue ----- The 10th Euro PVM/MPI 2003 will be held at the island of San Servolo, which is located in the Venetian lagoon, very close to the Venice city center. The island of San Servolo is easily reachable via boat in 10 mins from Piazza San Marco (Riva degli Schiavoni, in front of the Londra Palace Hotel, stop "San Zaccaria"). San Servolo hosts the Venice International University, an International Consortium of several Universities world-wide. Submission of Papers -------------------- Submissions should be in the form of full papers (6-8 pages), formatted according to LNCS's style.
