Biographical Sketch

I was born on January 10, 1985 in Venice, Italy. I got a BSc and a MSc (both summa cum laude) in Computer Science at Ca' Foscari University of Venice, respectively in 2008 and 2010. In the bachelor thesis entitled A Linear Shortest-Path Algorithm for Planar Graphs: Applications to Image Segmentation I've explored the possibility of applying the linear SSSP algorithm introduced by Sairam Subramanian et al. to an image segmentation task, while in the master thesis entitled Medial Surface Extraction for 3D Shape Representation I've developed an algorithm for the extraction of the medial surface skeletons of three-dimensional shapes. Since September 2010 I'm a PhD student at Ca' Foscari University of Venice under the supervision of Andrea Torsello. For further information please see my full Curriculum Vitae.
